31 Day NA Challenge - Day 2: Orange Nails

Hello again! :D

For the second day in this challenge I had to do orange nails! I did that, but I made it a little bit more interesting than just plain orange nails :P

After 3 thin coats of China Glaze Riveting, I applied 1 coat of HAPM Limit Orange Crackle and achieved this look:

I really like how the orange shimmer peaks through the matte crackle :)

That's it for today!

Thanks for reading and see ya tomorrow <3

Nail Art of the Day: Stripy Gradient

Hello my lovelies!

Finally I am home :) I met with a dear friend of mine and after talking a lot and eating sushi and stuff we just decided to wash our cars at 9 pm - we are crazy like that :D

The following nail art (if you are following me on Facebook you already saw a pic of it) is what I wanted to post yesterday, but I was too tired to do my nails so here it is one day later ;)

The polishes I used from right to left:
China Glaze - Ruby Pumps, Essence - Black is Back, Catrice - On Top of the Alps, Essence TC Better Than Gel Nails

First I started with a simple black to white gradient and let it dry.
If you are not familiar with this technique yet, just check out the tutorial from Sammy @The Nailasaurus - it is still the best one out there! :)

After it was dry enough to tape it, I just did exactly that. I used those tiny nail art tapes to tape off 3-4 stripes and applied a coat of Ruby Pumps all over the nail.
I don't like to let it sit too much, so I immediately removed the tape and moved on to the next nail.

After all nails were done I just finished it off with the Essence TC and voilĂ !

If you ever saw China Glaze's Ruby Pumps in real life you know what a beautiful sparkly red it is, too bad it doesn't show all its beauty on camera ;)

I hope you like it!

Thanks for reading and see ya soon! <3

China Glaze Riveting/Electrify Gradient

Hey there! :)

This will be a short post, but I wanted to show you what I had on my nails for 3 days :) I got some great polishes in a blog sale (more about that in my next post!) and one of them was China Glaze - Riveting. Since I think China Glaze made Riveting and Electrify for each other, I had to combine them immediately on my nails! ;)

(Excuse the red stain on my skin! I dyed my moms hair :P)
Do you love it as much as I do???

My next post (the August haul :D) will be scheduled for tomorrow morning ;)
Have a good night, my lovelies! x

Neon Nail Art

Good morning, my beautiful readers!

I hope you had a great weekend so far :) The summer is back in Germany, so me and my friends are going to the lake again! Yay :D For this occasion I decided to do something really bright and fun on my nails :)
I saw this design on a false nail set on etsy, so it's not my genius invention! I just liked it so much that I had to try it myself! =)

I used 2 really bright neons: China Glaze Pool Party and Flormar Super Neon N014.

I love it so much! It looks so crazy and the colors are so much brighter in real life! (and Pool Party is much more pink too :P)

So that's it..I hope you like it! Aaaand I'm already late! =))
Have a nice Sunday!!! :)

Summer Challenge: Picnic

Hey there my lovelies! :)

I just realized that I forgot to post the picture of the summer challenge! So here it is, just in case, you have no idea what's going on here :D

Today's theme: Picnic! Oh boy, I was so uncreative with this one :)) I just did some picnic-blanket pattern and some ants *yawn* You really should check the other ladies out, because they did some really cool nails on this theme! Anyway, here it is:

I used: Essence - Ahoy! (base), China Glaze - Ruby Pumps and Flormar Tip Painter in black.

Btw, what is with me and fat animals?? I mean, look at that ant on my ring finger!! First fat bees, now fat ants? =))) Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against fat or round animals, I'm just wondering why I always paint them that way :))

I hope you like it! Go ahead and check the other designs out!
See ya tomorrow with an exciting challenge :D

Iron Man Nails!

Hey there!
I totally forgot to show you what I added to the gradient mani, before I took it off the next day: an accent finger with the Iron Man mask! :D Thanks for all the lovely suggestions in your comments ;)

I wore this gradient mani for a whole week! Yes, 7 days and I didn't get bored with it nor did the polish chip! That's so awesome :D

See ya with some swatches next time! :*

Shimmer Gradient #2

Hello there!

Another gradient today! I loved the gradient trend ever since I saw it the first time some long time ago, but since Sammy did that awesome and easy tutorial I could wear gradients every day!
Today I have a red-yellow shimmer gradient for you! ;)
I used 2 coats of Flormar U07 and sponged it with China Glaze Ruby Pumps. Oh yeah :D
It looks so shimmery and awesome!
This gradient actually got a lot of compliments! A lot of people noticed my nails because of the pop of color, I guess :)
I think I'm gonna do some Nail Art over it ...any suggestions? :)
Hope you liked it ! Have an awesome day!

--EDIT--
I actually scheduled this post yesterday, but I entered the wrong date, that's why it didn't appear on my blog, lol  xD Well, at least I posted it today! Sorry for the delay! :)

China Glaze Electrify

Omg, I love this polish so much!!
I would have bought more China Glaze polishes from their Hunger Games collection, but they are really expensive here and I bought only Electrify, because I couldn't imagine my life without it, lol =))
It's a stunning golden-yellow and red glitter, which applies very well and is almost opaque in 3 thin coats.
First swatch with little Pedro, who is no longer a member of my family :(( Let's just say there were some problems and we couldn't keep him, so we had to give him back to the owners (he was on probation with us anyway), but I heard that he found a great new home, so I am really, really happy for him ..I still miss him though
I tried so many different angles and shades, so I could catch the real beauty of this polish, but it still is 1000 times prettier and shinier than in this pictures :) The most accurate one is the first picture with Pedro :)
Do you have this one? What other polishes from this collection are a must-have?
Let me know! ;)

Tomorrow I'll have a little surprise for you guys, so come back here to see what it is ;)
See ya!

My Giveaway Prize & Mini Haul

Hey there!
Finally the weekend is here, yay :D I'm so happy, because my mom came to visit me and she brought someone with her, but more on that later in this post ;)

I recently won a giveaway @Gold Speck Nails!! I was so excited :D Thank you again for hosting this giveaway Jenni! I love your blog and your awesome Nail Art ;) And if you, my dear readers, don't know her, go check ---her blog-- out! You won't be disappointed!
So here's what I won :)
I'm too tired to list them all up here, but if you want to know what polishes they are, you can go check out Jenni's post about it! ;) I already swatched them all on my nail wheels and of course I love that dark blue polish from Rimmel and also that peachy one from BarryM. The polish that surprised me was the golden-orange MEMEME polish. It's so beautiful!!
And she added all this candy as extra! I was so surprised when I opened the package! I just looove chocolate, but oh well, who doesn't ? :P Most of it is already gone, and I can say that Cadbury chocolate is one of my favorites now, it's delicious! (especially the little buttons and the caramel bar!)
Thank you, thank you, thank you for this! :D

So I mentioned that my mom came yesterday from Germany and here is the Nail Polish she brought me!
I also ordered China Glaze Electrify from the Hunger Games Collection and it came this week too .. Nail Mail overload :))
Catrice from left to right:
ACid/DC, Genius in the Bottle, Goldfinger, After Eight, Heavy Metallic

I was a really good nail polish addict this month! I didn't buy any polish! Not one! And then I got all these ... lol =))

And now to the other thing I mentioned: My mom came yesterday with a cute little guest, and he is now my newest family member. Let me introduce you to PEDRO! :))
A little West Highland Terrier, that looks a lot like a polar bear :))
I just really hope my cat Kiara will accept him! She is really angry at me right now, but we'll see about that in a few days :)

Hope you all have a fabulous weekend!! :*

Hunger Games Nail Art Series - Mockingjay

Hello and Happy Hunger Games! :D
I bet the premiere in the USA is now over, I'm not sure with the time difference and all :P
I'm so jealous of you guys, who have seen the movie already!!!! I want it too!
At least I'll show you what I would have worn on my nails, if I went to the movie last night! :)
Every HG-Fan knows the Mockingjay pin Katniss is wearing as part of her outfit, but just for the ones who don't know, here it is:
It's awesome! I actually want a real Mockingjay pin, to wear it on my clothes..or maybe a necklace? :D
Anyways, it took me forever to do this one on my nails, because it is a lot harder than the geometrical Capitol eagle, which has just straight lines :P The next problem was, that I don't own a good gold polish, so I just went with yellow. Ok, I'll stop talking now, here is my mani:
The other fingers are a bit hard to explain =)) First I'll tell you what I used: Essence - Grand-Plié in Black, Essence - Sundancer for the Mockingajy, Milani 3D Holo - 3D for the arrow, 1 coat of China Glaze - Ruby Pumps over Essence - GP in Black and finally 1 coat of Flormar Crackle in yellow.
"It's not a regular crackle effect!" - you might say, and it's right. I accidently bumped one of my fingers with the crackle against the table (again^^) and the red glitter smeared all over the yellow. I liked it so much that I touched the crackle on purpose with my fingers, til it looked like in the pics. I added 1 or 2 drops of Ruby Pumps in one or 2 spots and tadaa! It looks like an abstract fire :D Or more like something IS on fire.
Well, it does say in the book: "Katniss, the girl on fire!" ;)
And all of this, because I was to lazy to do actual flames at 3 am at night :P

Hope you like it! Later today, I'll post another district manicure!
See ya ;)

Racing Stripes

 Good morning everybody!
This post will be the last one with pictures taken by my phone :D Just so you know ;)
I did this mani a week ago and took some pictures outside in the snow again, to change up the scenery a bit.
You may think now "there is something different about her nails.." and that's true :P I filed my nails in a square shape! Well, almost square. I wanted to try this for so long, because I always see so beautiful square shaped nails on so many blogs, but now I know it's not meant to be for me. They don't suit me :))
Back to the polish: This is 2 coats Rimmel London - 239 Your Majesty and it's a gorgeous silver foil polish, just how I like it. :) Excuse the redness of my skin in this pictures but it was freezing outside! I couldn't feel my hands for 20 minutes after this pics :D

I wanted to add something to it, but I had no idea what. I was starring at my computer and my desktop wallpaper inspired me :D
So here is the beautiful inspiration:

Yep, my favorite car ;) And I tried to recreate the racing stripes on my nails:
I used tape and China Glaze Frostbite for the stripes. The picture is not the best, but you get the idea ;)

So ho do you like my nails with this shape? I honestly am glad to be back to my round shape :D
Have a great Sunday! :-*

EDIT: Btw, do you like that I made the pictures bigger, or should I do them like before? Let me know!

Christmas Challenge Day 24 - Favorite Manicure

The last challenge .. I can't believe it's over. I had really fun doing all this designs, although sometimes it was hard doing Nail Art everyday :P I'm so glad I joined this challenge, because I improved my Nail Art skills and I found some nice ladies, who also did this cool Christmas Challenge :) It was really worth it!

Today we had to recreate our favorite manicure from all the 23 themes and I didn't have to think a lot about it: I chose Snowflakes ;) But I didn't do the same version as last time, instead I chose the design that Copy That, Copy Cat did some while ago :)
I chose China Glaze - Ruby Pumps as a base instead of a blue one, cause it's more Christmassy that way :P
For the tips I used: S-he 471 (silver), Farmasi 79 (little silver glitter) and Essence - Julia (big glitter).
It was a really hectic day today, so I didn't had the time to do all nails with snowflakes, but I really like how that looks too :)
I'm so glad I can keep this design on my nails for as long as I want to, cause I don't have to do another challenge tomorrow :P I will keep it on, til it chips and I hope that won't be too soon :D

If you didn't visit these blogs til now, make sure to do it! They all did a great job in this cool challenge:
Paint That NailSteffiJessicaSalpiShannaraKirshtenKellyLexi Martone and Kaki.
I will really miss seeing all the different interpretations of 1 theme everyday, cause it was fun and interesting! ;)

I wish you all a Merry Christmas! Enjoy your free time with your loved ones and may Santa bring you many great presents! :D

Christmas Challenge Day 21 - Reindeer / Rudolph

♫ Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer
had a very shiny nose,
and if you ever saw it
you would even say it glows

This song is stuck in my head ever since I started painting Rudolph on my nails :D  And here are the cute little fellas:
I used P2 - Flirt & Tease as a base, Sensique - 139, China Glaze - Ruby Pumps for the nose and some basic white and black polish for the details.
I got the idea from The Nailasaurus! The minute I saw them on her blog I knew I had to recreate them :)

Wanna see more cute little reindeer? Visit these blogs:
Have a good night! :-*

Christmas Challenge Day 15 - Presents

Very short post today! I don't even have time enough to sleep these days :P
Here are my nails from yesterday:
I got the inspiration for this bow from Copy That, Copy Cat, but don't ask me which post it was, cause I have no idea :D I just saved the image in my inspiration folder some time ago :)
I used China Glaze - Dorothy Who?, some white and black polish (I actually used a Nail Art Pen^^) and a thin Nail Art Brush :)
Don't forget to visit these lovely ladies!!
                    Paint That NailSteffiJessicaSalpiShannaraKirshtenKelly
                                                     Lexi Martone and Kaki

Christmas Challenge Day 8 - Candy Canes

First off I wanna thank you for all the support and all the nice comments you leave me, they just make my day :)
With that said, let's move on to today's challenge: Candy Canes !
I used China Glaze Ruby Pumps as a base and Nail Collection Matte in White for the Candy Canes. Ruby Pumps is just beautiful! I think it's one of my all time favorite polishes :) Although my pics don't show the whole beauty of this color.
Let's see what these ladies did for today's challenge:

Tomorrow's theme is "Red/Green" and I have no idea what to do with my nails :))  I could use some inspiration from you guys ;)
Thanks for stopping by and see ya tomorrow ;)
