Sunday Swatches: P2 - Winter ... who cares?! Limited Edition Polishes

 Hello my lovelies :)

Today I have some absolutely gorgeous polishes for you! When I saw them in the store, the first thing I noticed was that cute bottle design that reminded me of christmas tree decorations :D
And then I saw all the glitter *-* It was like nail polish heaven in that moment! So I just had to buy them all ... you understand me right? :D

But look for yourself:

These are the 6 polishes from P2's new limited edition collection "Winter ... who cares?!" - the name is pretty funny as well, like "who cares? I'm gonna rock some cool polish even in the winter! Hell yeah!" Just my motto ;)

So let's take a closer look at each one:

010 - I don't care!

This is a pinkish red jelly with small and big white glitter in it. Even after 3 coats it is not fully opaque, but the application is flawless and easy. All the polishes have a slightly thicker consistency, so it may be good to use them over another more opaque polish instead of applying 3 to 4 coats.

020 - Never mind!

This one is a beautiful purple jelly with small and big white glitter in it. This one is pretty much opaque after 3 coats and the application was just as flawless as the other ones.
This is one of my favorites! :)

030 - Even now!

This is a white jelly with the same glitter in it as the other ones - and the most beautiful thing about this polish is the fact that it looks like snow! I don't know why but the white glitter in the white jelly base just remind me of winter and snow, so it is perfect for the next months!
I already have a nail art in mind with it ;)
Good application just like all the others, but this one isn't really opaque after 3 coats either - but that's perfectly normal for jellies :)

040 - Play up!

This is a gorgeous bright pink jelly with big and small white glitter in it. Application is flawless, but opacity is not fully there after 3 coats.
I don't wear pink very often but this one looks so pretty on the nails and kinda reminds me of candy - I don't know why :P

050 - For that reason!

This one is a light grey jelly with white glitter in it, application is just as good as the other ones and it's almost opaque after 3 coats.
I have to be honest, I took this polish just to have all 6 of them, so it is not one of my favorites but it still is pretty nice :)

060 - No matter!

A beautiful blue jelly with white glitter in it, flawless application and almost full opacity after 3 coats.
It is my absolute FAVORITE of this collection, I mean look at it - it reminds me of a night sky with thousands of stars ...absolutely gorgeous :)

I have to say I am in love with this collection! There are so many things you could do with these polishes and I love the fact that they are jellies! They are very glossy and paired with the glitter it gives them such a deep look, that I just adore :)

One bottle of polish costs 2,25€ here in Germany and contains 15ml of product.

Tell me, which one is your favorite?

Thanks for reading and see ya next time :)

Today's Swatch: Barry M - Denim + New Poll (Please Vote!)

Hello there!

Hope you are all well today :) Tomorrow I am going back home from my little vacation (I am visiting my boyfriend) and I can't wait to do more nail art and reviews and concentrate even more on my blogging life ;)

But for now, let's take a look at this swatch I found hidden on my computer ^^

(Without top coat)

This is 2 coats of Berry M - Denim, and you already can tell that the name is very suiting for this one! The slight silver shimmer and the not so glossy finish really do remind you of denim :)

 (With top coat)

The application was really easy, because the polish has kind of the perfect consistency. Also one coat is more than enough with this one (its really opaque) but I like to have a perfect result and just did 2 ;)

What do you think of Barry M polishes?
I got most of mine as a gift and I'm in love with the colors and application of this brand!
Are there any must-haves I must know of? ;)

Leave me a comment, I'd love to hear your thoughts on this!

See ya soon <3

P.S.: Oh I almost forgot !! I started a new survey on my blog ( left side bar) where you can vote for my new blog name ! I really wanna change it up and I am still open for new suggestions ;) Will talk more about it tomorrow in my post :)

Swatch of the Day: Barry M - Raspberry

Hello, my lovelies!

How is your week going so far? Mine's pretty good, I passed my first little test in chemistry,
yay :D
But on to the nails, shall we? I asked on facebook which swatch you guys would like to see and since it was pretty last-minute there weren't a lot of votes, haha :)) Next time I'll plan my poll a little earlier ;)

Anyways, Barry M - Raspberry was the winner and here it is:

This absolutely gorgeous polish is one of many I got from Cuti-CLUE-les in our swap and it's one of my favorite red shades ever!
It's a creme red with a pink undertone, 2 coats is more than enough to achieve this beautiful opaque color. The application was amazing, just like with all the other Barry M's I own :)

One thing I absolutely love about the polishes from Barry M, besides the fact that they are all very opaque, is the glossy shine! All these pictures are without TC - amazing right?

So, what do you think? Are you tempted to buy this color or do you maybe already have this beauty in your collection? ;) Let me know!

I wish you all a good night and a wonderful Friday!
Thanks for reading! :*

Swatch of the Day: Barry M - Navy

Hello, dear readers :)

Did you all have a nice weekend? I sure hope so ;) I wanna show you a gorgeous polish today, one I love very much. Why? Because it's a navy blue with a subtle shimmer, the application is flawless and it's almost a one-coater :)
Here it is, Barry M's Navy:

Isn't it beautiful? This is 2 coats with TC. I did this swatch some weeks ago and ... I miss my long nails so much !! :( I think the weather change is affecting them, because they peel and break and just grow so slowly! Anyone else having that problem?

Anyways, I hope you like this polish as much as I do :)
Thanks for reading and see ya soon!

Models Own Mirrorball Collection Swatches !

Hello, my lovelies!

Today I have an awesome post for you! I wanna show you the swatches of the whole Mirrorball Collection by Models Own!
When I first saw the promo pics a few weeks back I just knew these babies had to be mine! :D
I ordered them on the same day they appeared on the website and only one week later they arrived at their new home!  I saw a lot of pictures and I knew they were gorgeous, but when I opened the package I was just speachless!

You can't imagine how sparkly, colorful and pretty they are in real life! And I have to include a bottle shot, because they look so cool!

They're gorgeous, right? :)

The formula is pretty much the same on all of them, only the glitter colors are different!
Each one has 4 different sized & shaped glitter in a clear base. You have every kind of glitter you can imagine in there: from small round glitter to square, to big chunky holo glitter (oh yes! they are a bit holo!!).

The application was very good with all of them and I especially loved that you get a good amount of glitter on the nail with only 1 coat! The only thing I don't like about Models Own polishes is the smell, but oh well..nobody/nothing is perfect :P
For the swatches I used 1 coat of glitter over a black nail polish + TC(the one included in the set) and for the "nude" swatches I applied :
1 coat on the index finger - 2 coats on the middle finger - 3 coats on the ring finger - 4 coats on the pinkie and no TC!

So let's finally see some pictures! (WARNING! Picture Spam!)

Boogie Nights

Boogie Nights has blue, purple and 2 shades of pink glitter in it. As you can see, 2 coats (middle finger) is the perfect amount to get some really sparkly nails!

Dancing Queen

One of my absolute favorites from this collection! It has gold, green, turquoise and blue glitter in it - such an awesome combination! 2 coats are enough to get some awesome sparkle on your nails, but as you can see 1 coat over black is more than enough too! ;)

Hot Stuff!

This one has gold, pink, red and peachy glitter in it and is so pretty and girly!

Disco Inferno

Did I mention I love the names of these polishes? ;) This beauty has gold, green and orange glitter in it and just like all the other ones, the sparkle is freaking amazing!

Freak Out!

Last but not least, my absolute favorite from this whole collection, although they're all beautiful! This one has blue, turquoise and purple glitter in it - my favorite color combination!

Isn't this collection one of the most amazing ones out there? I took so many pictures, because it's just too pretty! :)

You can get the whole collection in a box set (with a free 3 in 1 top coat!) on http://www.modelsownit.com/ for 20£  (ca. 32$ or 24€), but if you want just one or 2, each of the polish costs 5£ (ca. 8$ or 6€) and they do ship internationally! ;)

In my opinion these polishes are totally worth it and anyone who loves glitter, should own them! ;)

What a long post! But I hope you liked it and let me know which polish is your favorite from the Mirrorball collection! =)

Today's Swatch: Catrice - Oh my Goldness!

Hello! :D

So, today I have a swatch for you guys and I already posted a pic last night on my facebook page, so some of you already know whats coming :P
It's Catrice - Oh my Goldness!, one of the new shades in the Catrice nail polish range. It's an absolutely gorgeous shade of shimmery gold and I didn't wanted to buy it at first, cause I thought it would never look good with my skin tone ... but then I thought "what the heck? I love it and I don't care", so I just bought it :P

This is one coat of Catrice, just to show you how sheer it really is. You will need 3 coats to make it opaque, but that's not a problem, cause the formula is great and it applies very good!

What I absolutely love about Catrice polishes is their big brush, the fact that they dry pretty fast and the big, round bottles! :)

So, do you love this color as much as I do? ;)
Would you wear this color or isn't it something you like?
Let me know! :)

Thanks for reading and have a great day! x

A little swatch with a little bit of nail art!

Hey there! :)

I bet everyone has these days, when you just don't know what to put on your nails, am I right? :) Well, I recently found this awesome "game" that helps you with this problem! :D If you want to know more about it, click on the link! ;)

That's how I ended up with this polish - Aden 86c10. Oh, how I hate polishes without names! But this one is really gorgeous, so we will just see past that :P

This is 2 coats of Aden - isn't is pretty ?? It's an absolutely gorgeous dark green shimmer with a good formula. It bubbles a bit on the nails no matter what you do, but a coat of TC fixes that problem :)

Here's a pic taken with flash to show you the shimmer better - amazing right?
I found this polish in a little store in Romania. I've never heard of this brand, but this color caught my eye and I had to buy it!

I decided to do some nail art over it and since my creativity is gone these days I just did a random geometrical design as an accent on ring finger & thumb.

I wanted to do this on all my nails, but I didn't had the time, that's why I just did the accent nails :)

I really like it and I won't take it off until it starts chipping! :P

How do you like it? :)

Essence Color and Change Swatches & Review

Hello, my dear readers!

Having a nice weekend so far? :) I tried to upload this post yesterday, but blogger wouldn't let me, so here it is now :P I posted these 2 polishes in my August Haul, so let's see how they look!

There are 4 Color & Change polishes in the new product range of Essence, but I only picked out those 2, since I like blue and purple so much. The other two are orange and pink.

Unexpected Galaxy (index & ring finger): This one is a really gorgeous metallic purple! Application was really smooth and the big surprise: it's a 1-coater! Yay :D I wasn't very careful with the application, so I applied 2 coats, but when I tried it again on the other hand, I just used 1 coat.

Wonderlicious Green (middle finger & pinkie): First off, it's blue! =) It's a really pretty shimmery blue, which I bought only because of the color! I don't own anything like it. And again, it's a 1-coater!! This one didn't apply as smoothly as the other one though. It's thick and it just takes some practice to apply it evenly.

Now let's see how the color change works.

There is this Color & Change Magic Effect Designer that you can buy separately to create the designs on these polishes, but I also wanted to try a normal clear polish to see how that works.

Index & Middle finger are both painted with the Magic Effect Designer (MED).
The contrast between the initial color and the "changed" one was better with the purple polish. The blue one didn't change as quick as the other one and it took another thin layer of the MED to make the change visible.
The MED comes with a very thin tip painter so it's hard to paint a bigger surface with it, but for nail art it works just fine.

Ring finger & Pinkie are painted with a normal clear polish from Essence (CP).
You can't really see a difference between the clear polish and the MED on the purple polish, the blue one though didn't change its color as much with the clear polish on top.

Bottom line:
All in all, I think these polishes are a nice idea. Essence did a great job making them 1-coaters, so that's a big plus!
I also tried different top coats I have and all of them worked just fine with changing the color! That said, my recommendation is not to buy the Magic Effect Designer, since any TC will do the same job ;)

The price of the polishes is 1,55€ each and the MED costs 1,95€.

What do you think girls? Will you buy them? :)

Have a great weekend! x

Today's Swatch: Artdeco 140

Hey there! :)

Long time no see :D I just updated my stash list and thought I could also write a short post for you guys! I have some beautiful Essence swatches and reviews prepared for the next couple of days, but until then let's look at today's swatch of Artdeco 140 :)

Here are the facts:
- 2 coats without TC for full opacity
- very easy and smooth application
- it stains like crazy, so base coat is a must!

It's a very nice purple shade with blue shimmer. It's much more purple in real life than in the pictures, but I think all nail bloggers know it's a pain in the a** to photograph purple polish!

Bottle shot! Doesn't it look amazing ?

Artdeco polishes cost 7,50€ here in Germany, which is quite expensive! I bought all my Artdeco polishes at the flea market for around 1€, which is perfect for me! ;) Although it's a nice quality, I wouldn't buy these polishes with full price, just because they don't have very unique colors.

So, do you own any Artdeco polishes? What do you think, are they worth 7,50€ ?

Thanks for reading and see ya!  x

Catrice Cucuba LE - A few swatches . . .

Hello, my lovelies!

Having a good weekend so far? I wanna show you some swatches today of the goodies I got from the Cucuba LE by Catrice. The polishes weren't all that special this time, but 2 of them still caught my eye and I also got the 2 eye liners from this collection, because I loooove liquid eye liners :D
Here they are all together (+ another Catrice polish, that I will show you some other time :P)
First the polishes:

C01 Sunny Side
This one is an orange polish with golden shimmer, which almost looks like little flakies! I used 2 coats, the application was very good although the polish is a little bit thick. I absolutely love this polish! It's such a warm and soft color and perfect for summer! I have to thank Taya, because without her gorgeous swatch I wouldn't have bought this polish ;)

C02 Reggaeton
This one is an brown polish with silver-ish shimmer, a very interesting shade but so hard to capture on camera! Again I used 2 coats, the application was also very good and the formula wasn't to thick or to thin. The shimmer isn't very noticeable in real life, but it's still a pretty polish :)

Now, let's look at the eye liners!

01 Take It Mint
This liquid eye liner is a really bright mint shade and it looks gorgeous, but the application really disappointed me! I love eye liners because they're so easy to apply, but this one was a pain in the *** to apply! It's very watery and therefore not very opaque. I needed to paint the line 3 times, before it covered well enough!!

I wouldn't wear such a bright eye liner on it's own, but I really like to combine this kind of colors with black. It's more wearable that way, but still very eye-catching ;)

02 Reggaeton
It's named just like the brown polish and it looks exactly like it, just a bit lighter! :) So it's a light brown with golden shimmer. This one wasn't as hard to apply as the other one, but it wasn't very opaque either. I think Catrice should ask Essence for some advise on how to create good eyeliners ;) I swear, Essence has the best liquid eye liners ever!

So that's all I got from this LE. Did you get something from this LE as well ?
What do you like best?

Hope this post was helpful for some of you!

Have a great weekend! xx
