Valentines's Day Challenge - Red Passion

Hello my lovelies!

I don't even wanna post this look today... but I have to! First I wanted to do some beautiful nails (already had some mani in mind I wanted to recreate), but there was no time and no place to do it here..
No problem so far, I still can do some make-up right?
Well, I am at my boyfriend's place and the light here is just extremely bad. I basically could have done the make-up in the dark..maybe it would have turned out better then ^^

But let's talk about the make-up! Obviously I had to use some red and since the challenge is "Red Passion" I knew there had to be some smokey eye going on there as well!

Products I used:
- P2 Perfect Eyes Base
- P2 Perfect Look Lip Liner 141 Volcano
- BH Cosmetics 120 Color Palette (red)
- Sleek Ultra Mattes V2 (Colors: Maple + Dune + Pillow Talk)
- Catrice Absolute Matt Palette
- W7 - In the Buff (Sand)
- Maybelline Gel Eyeliner 01 Black
- Astor Seduction Codes Mascara
- Ardell Black Wispies

One side has more black than the other and is better blended, one eye lash is put on good the other one extremely crooked ...aaah! I hate it xD I am such a perfectionist and I can't look too much at this picture ..

Thanks for reading anyway! And see ya soon with some better post :)

Valentine's Day Challenge - Romantic Lace

Hello my lovelies!

Today starts the Valentine's Day Challenge that Kaki and me created! I'm so excited to see what all the girls come up with :D

My plan was to create both make-up and nail art for every challenge, but I realized today this will be pretty hard! I sometimes don't have that many ideas :D

So here is my romantic lace inspired mani:

I used Catrice Must Have STEELetto, a gorgeous light purple metallic, as a base, a lace-like image from an Essence Stamping plate and Konad Black Nail Polish.
I didn't stamp the image on the nail, but instead I created nail decals and just put them on the nail where I wanted them. It's much more easier that way! If you wanna see a tutorial on this technique just let me know ;)

To make the line more smooth I added some dots with the same Konad polish and finished it with a layer of TC.

I wanted to do some lace pattern around the eyes as well, but I didn't manage to do it... I don't have such a thin brush to create such a look. So instead I used the same metallic purple eye shadow to match it with the nails:

Products I used:
- P2 Perfect Eyes Base
- P2 Intensive Kohl Eyeliner 020 Cool Alaska
- BH Galaxy Chic (Color: Cosmic)
- Sleek Ultra Mattes V2 (Colors: Villan + Pillow Talk)
- Catrice Absolute Matt Palette
- P2 Glow Up Highlighter - High Beam
- Maybelline Gel Eyeliner 01 Black
- Astor Seduction Codes Mascara
- Catrice Single Lashes (on outer corner)

The eye shadow is much more similar to the nail polish in real life and much more shimmery too.
I hope you like it and don't forget to check out the other ladies as well!

Thanks for reading! <3

Make-Up of the Day: Green and Gold Eyes

Hello my lovelies :)

I wanna show you the make-up I wore today, since it turned out better than expected :)

I did a gold and green kinda smokey eye and paired it with some neutral soft pink lips with golden shimmer as well.
To get some gold color on the lips I just took the same eye shadow I used on my eyes, applied it on my lips as well and put the lip gloss right over it :)

All the products I used:

Face

Kiko Mat Base Corrector Primer
L'Oreal Perfect Match Foundation W3 Golden Beige
Essence All Day Concealer 20 Soft Beige
L'Oreal Nude Magique BB Powder Light Skin
Sleek Contouring and Blush Palette Fair 372 (only Bronzer)
Catrice Duo Blush 020 Peach Sorbet
P2 Glow Up! Highlighter in High Beam
Alverde Fixing Spray

Lips

Essence Good Girl Bad Girl LE Lip Gloss - 02 Good Girls wear Peach
Sleek Sunset Palette - Golden Eyeshadow

Eyes & Eyebrows

Maybelline BROWdrama - Medium Brown
Kiko Perfect Eyes Duo Highlighter Pencil
P2 Glow Up! Highlighter in High Beam
P2 Perfect Eyes Base
BH Cosmetics 28 Color Palette Neutral Eyeshadow
P2 Fantastic Chrome Kajal - Golden Amber
Sleek Ultra Mattes Palette V2 - Fern
Sleek Sunset Palette - Golden Eyeshadow
Manhattan X-treme Last Eyeliner in Black
Maybelline Gel Eyeliner 01 Black
Maxfactor Eye Brightening Mascara for Hazel Eyes
Astor Seduction Codes Mascara

Hope you like it!

I'm trying to use more of my palettes and create colorful make-ups because I just have so much stuff and I really should use it:P
The reason I said it turned out better than expected is that usually gold eye shadow isn't as opaque as I would like - but I just put P2's golden eye liner under it as a base and it turned out how I wanted!
Also the eye shadows are just amazing, but that's why I love to use Sleek palettes ;)

Thanks for reading!

See ya soon <3

Hope you liked this look and please tell me, what do you like to wear as make-up in the winter time? :)

Thanks for reading and see ya soon <3

How to make your brows wow! - An Essence Review

Hello my lovelies!

This post comes later than expected, but editing took a little bit long :P
Today I wanna review one of the make-up boxes I bought from Essence last week and I also can show you how I fill in my eyebrows at the same time, yay! :)

Warning! Picture Spam ahead! ;)

First take a look at the box itself, the packaging is so cute, I love it !

I have to admit, the packaging of these boxes from Essence were the main reason why I wanted to have them at first! I mean, just look at it, even the mirror is not just plain and simple :)

The box itself comes with 3 different shades of brown and a highlighter. It also contains a little tweezer, a double-ended applicator and a little guide on how to do your eyebrows.
The tweezer is always good to have, although I have to say this one feels pretty stiff and cuts the hairs rather than pluck them (small minus point if you really need them).
The applicator is ok, although I prefer an angled brush with a longer handle, so I took one of mine instead of the one it comes with - but that's just my personal preference ;)

The 3 shades you get are exactly what you need! I can't talk for blondes obviously, but even the lightest color "love blondes" looks pretty good to me.
I personally combine the darkest color and the medium one, just to get a more natural look :)

Let's start with the brows! In the picture above you can see my natural brow without any products on it - just for you to see what I'm working with.

Just to make it clear - the following steps are just the way I fill in my eye brows, it may not be the perfect or the only way, but that's how I do it :P

Step 1:
Take an angled brush (the one from the box or your own) and start filling in your lower part of the brow with a darker shade (I took "love brunettes"). Try to follow the natural curve of your brow, but of course you could also make it more straight or little bit more arched, just like you want it.
Fill in the end of the brow with the darker shade as well.

Step 2:
Taking the lighter shade (in my case "lov' em all"), start filling in the rest of your brow with really soft and short strokes. Sometimes I alternate between the ligther and the darker shade, just to make it look more natural.

Step 3:
You could just let the brow the way it is in step 2, or - like I love to do it - also create a line on the upper part of your brow (with the darker shade again) to make it look more crisp and defined.

Step 4:
Again, this step is optional! Take your favorite concealer and apply it underneath your eyebrow - this way you once again define your brow more and also are able to correct some mistakes you possibly did.

Step 5:
Just blend the concealer out with your finger or a small brush.

Step6:
If you used a concealer it may be enough as a highlight for you, or you can just add a little bit of your favorite highlighter to your browbone (here I used "lift me up!" from the box).
And that's it! You are finished :)

And here is a full face picture, just because it looks different than just one brow :P

All in all I have to say I really like this make-up box! The colors are nice and easy to use, the box itself is a pretty addition to any collection and the price is very good as well.

It costs 5,95€ here in Germany and contains a total of 6g of product.

What do you think? Do you already own this box, or do you now plan on getting it?
I would also love to know if some of you fill in their eyebrows totally different..or maybe not at all?
Let me know in the comments! :)

See ya soon with some pretty swatches ;)

Thanks for reading! <3

Kiko & Essence Haul + Blog Name Change

Hello my lovelies!

I was on the road the whole day, just got home a few hours ago , but I promised myself I would do this post mostly because I wanna explain the name change of my blog!

Since the first day I started this blog, I was never quite happy with the name. I am horrible with finding creative names so I took the first thing that sounded good to me at the time. Well, it has been 3 years and I really wanna get my blog going again, maybe even start a Youtube-channel, who knows? But I feel that I need a name that I can use for both my blog and Youtube and is short and easy to remember!

Since I am so bad with names I asked the lovely ladies of Polishaholics Anonymous on Facebook (told you about them once, lovely group!) and immediately got some responses :D
My own suggestion was Theodora's Beauty Corner, which got some positive response. The other suggestions were: Raducal Beauty (my last name is Radu - so instead of radical its raducal :P) and Theadorable Beauty Blog (Kind of a mix of my first name Theodora with adorable).

I liked those suggestions, BUT I am still open for new ones! I will add them to the survey I started on the left side bar and you, my dear followers, have time to vote for your favorite one! ;)

I know a name change is not the best thing, but better to do it now than later, right?

Ok, enough of that, here are some beautiful things I got the past couple of days :3

I didn't wanna buy anything from Kiko, I just wanted to browse the nail polish section of their website and then I saw the big offer they had on Black Friday - 30% on your whole purchase!
I just couldn't resist :D
I got 5 eye shadows and a palette to put 4 of them in, 2 nail polishes, a face primer, a lip primer and a brow highlighter.
I would love to do swatches/reviews on them and I probably will do so in the near future, but is there anything you would really like to see asap ? Tell me ;)

All of the stuff above was a real spontaneous buy! I was in the city with my bf and he wanted to look at some games, so I spent my time looking at some makeup and stuff.
I really just wanted to look! :D
But in the end, when he came back I had all of this stuff in my hands and I just had to buy these pretties :3
The whole collection of thermo polishes by Essence, 3 of the new palettes from Essence, 2 quattro eye-shadows from Essence's LE "Come to Town" + the green glitter polish from that same LE.
The 2 false lashes I got from a 1€ Shop and they just looked so gorgeous.... and let's be honest, you can't do anything wrong with that price :D
Same thing as above, anything you really wanna see a review/swatch of asap ?

Did you buy anything beautiful these days? Tell me in the comments, would love to know!

See ya!
Also ...tomorrow is Nail Art Monday! Yay :D

The Penguin Make-Up Challenge 3 !

I am so sad it's already the last challenge!! It was so fun creating these different make-up looks, because I've never done more than apply some liquid eye-liner and mascara and that's it :)) So thanks Kaki, Mimi and Alexis for coming up with this great challenge!! :D

So the last challenge was to use only white & color and at first I didn't knew what to do, but then I woke up this morning and I had an idea! :D
I love the ocean, I love Walt Disney's Arielle and therefore all kind of mermaids. So I decided to do a mermaid inspired look!

I wish I had some gold eye shadow, that's the only thing that's missing here :P

Products I used for this look:
Eyes & Eyebrows
Catrice Eye Shadow Base
Essence Eye Shadow 01 Chill Out (white shimmer)
Essence Eye Shadow 13 Rapanui (mint shade)
P2 Eye Shadow 060 Bombastic Blue
P2 Eye Pencil 020 Cool Alaska (white)
Catrice Eye Pencil 080 Lucy In the Skies (eyebrows)
Essence Eye Pencil 02 I'm a Marine Girl (50's Girls LE)
Maybelline Jade Volume Mascara in Navy Blue
False Eye Lashes from Fing'rs

Face
Essence Pure Teint Mousse Make-Up 01 Beige
+ all the eye shadows from above! ;)

Lips
Catrice Eye Pencil 080 Lucy In The Skies
Essence XXXL Shine Lipgloss 13 Rock On! (purple shimmer)

This was incredibly fun to create and I wore it for almost 5 hours (because I wanted to show it to my mom :D) and it all stayed in place and looked just like in the beginning!

I had to do something crazy for the last challenge, because I did some pretty "normal" looks for the other 2 ones, right? :P
I hope you like it!! Make sure to check out all the other talented ladies! ;)

Catrice Cucuba LE - A few swatches . . .

Hello, my lovelies!

Having a good weekend so far? I wanna show you some swatches today of the goodies I got from the Cucuba LE by Catrice. The polishes weren't all that special this time, but 2 of them still caught my eye and I also got the 2 eye liners from this collection, because I loooove liquid eye liners :D
Here they are all together (+ another Catrice polish, that I will show you some other time :P)
First the polishes:

C01 Sunny Side
This one is an orange polish with golden shimmer, which almost looks like little flakies! I used 2 coats, the application was very good although the polish is a little bit thick. I absolutely love this polish! It's such a warm and soft color and perfect for summer! I have to thank Taya, because without her gorgeous swatch I wouldn't have bought this polish ;)

C02 Reggaeton
This one is an brown polish with silver-ish shimmer, a very interesting shade but so hard to capture on camera! Again I used 2 coats, the application was also very good and the formula wasn't to thick or to thin. The shimmer isn't very noticeable in real life, but it's still a pretty polish :)

Now, let's look at the eye liners!

01 Take It Mint
This liquid eye liner is a really bright mint shade and it looks gorgeous, but the application really disappointed me! I love eye liners because they're so easy to apply, but this one was a pain in the *** to apply! It's very watery and therefore not very opaque. I needed to paint the line 3 times, before it covered well enough!!

I wouldn't wear such a bright eye liner on it's own, but I really like to combine this kind of colors with black. It's more wearable that way, but still very eye-catching ;)

02 Reggaeton
It's named just like the brown polish and it looks exactly like it, just a bit lighter! :) So it's a light brown with golden shimmer. This one wasn't as hard to apply as the other one, but it wasn't very opaque either. I think Catrice should ask Essence for some advise on how to create good eyeliners ;) I swear, Essence has the best liquid eye liners ever!

So that's all I got from this LE. Did you get something from this LE as well ?
What do you like best?

Hope this post was helpful for some of you!

Have a great weekend! xx

The Penguin Make-Up Challenge 2 !

Hey! :)

The second week in the Penguin Make-Up Challenge is already here! Let's see what today's challenge is:

Ever since I saw the second challenge, I knew I wanted to use turquoise in my make-up. I saw a lot of turquoise-purple combinations on pinterest and decided to try it myself ;)

I wish I had a brighter purple-shade in my eye shadow collection, cause it would look 10 times better in combintion with that bright turquoise, don't you think ? Btw...that turquoise color is 10 times brighter in real life! It's gorgeous!!
(Please excuse the messy hair ...and the messy application of my false eye lashes ^^)

Here's what I used (eyes only!):
Catrice Eye Shadow Base
Catrice Eye Pencil 130 Bright Violet
Catrice Eye Pencil 080 Lucy In the Skies
P2 Eye Shadow 042
P2 Eye Shadow 060 Bombastic Blue
Essence Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner
Rimmel Extra Super Lash Mascara
Fing'rs False Eye Lashes

Now tell me, what are your favorite eye shadow colors? :)

The Penguin Make-Up Challenge Day 1 !

Hey there, beautiful people!

As I announced yesterday, today starts another challenge that I'm super excited about, because it's a MAKE-UP challenge... oh yes! Finally something else on my blog :D I thought this would be a great opportunity to get into make-up a bit more and see what you guys think about it :)
So let's start!

This is the challenge banner:

As you can see, the challenge was created by 3 very talented and nice ladies:
 Kaki, Alexis and Mimi!
The first challenge is to use only black and white! Not so hard for me, because you can create some great smokey-eyes with black and that's what I did ;)
WARNING! Picture Spam ahead! :D

And here is a close-up:

For this look I used (eye-makeup only!):
Catrice Eye Shadow Base
P2 Intensive Khol Eyeliner 020 Cool Alaska
Essence Kajal Pencil 01 Black
Essence Quattro Eyeshadow 07 Over the Taupe (white shade)
Essence Eyeshadow in 53 Pop Eye
Essence Liquid Eyeliner Waterproof in black
P2 Limitless False Eye Lashes

And one last pic :)

After I finished the look (it took me forever!) I twittered that "..I look like a stripper, but I kinda like it" :D I really do, I love it! But my question to you is:

Would you wear this eye makeup even during the day, or just for a night out? Or is it just too much for you?
Please be honest, I would love to know :D

Just btw ... I adore my camera! It makes such beautiful pictures! Thanks again mom :*

Check out the other ladies, who are participating in this challenge :)

Make-Up Storing Tips?

Hello everybody!
I just got back from Germany yesterday and I realized I have a problem :D I have to much make up for my small bathroom :)) My mom bought me some make up and I also purchased some things, while I was there and now that I´m back, I see that my bathroom shelf and drawer are already full ^^ I don´t like it, if I have some cosmetics in one place and the other part in another...I just like to have all in one place. So do you guys have a good idea, how to store cosmetics ?
This is all I have right now, I know other people have much more, but for me it´s a lot :D And I realized I have too many mascaras :D I just love them ;)
So please leave your ideas in the comment section, because I don´t wanna leave them in this box :D Thank you so much!
