Summer Challenge: Fruits

Hello again!
First off, I wanna ask you what you think about my new blog header? Be honest! :) I think it's a looot better than the old one, but can still be improved ;) But for now it will suffice :)
Aaand I added a new page! I put all my Hunger Games Manis on one page with the link to the original post :) I will do the same thing for the summer challenge, once it's finished ;)

Talking about the summer challenge, today's (or better said, yesterday's) theme is:
FRUITS!

I didn't have to think much about this one, because my favorite fruits are strawberries (and melons :P) and I saw a strawberry nail art once on The Illustrated Nail which I really liked! So here is my recreation:

I used:
P2 - Open your heart (base), Essence - Bienvenido a Miami (yellow spots), Safari - Green, Catrice - Run Forest Run (green outlines).

I did the yellow spots a little bit too big and I think that's why it doesn't look like a strawberry :P I mean, if I saw these nails on someone's blog, I wouldn't think they're strawberries.... just some kind of fruit, lol =))

Check these ladies out for some more delicious fruit manicures! ;)

Jeff Dunham Inspired Nails!

Jeff Dunham, who is this? Well, let me tell you! He is a pretty good and funny ventriloquist. This guy is just hilarious! And he has a lot of different puppets/characters. You may have heard of Achmed the dead terrorist? "SILENCE! I kill you !!" ... yep, that was him ;)
I think the most "popular" characters are Achmed, Walter, Peanut and Jalapeno on a Stick! Those are the best ones! It's amazing, how he can bring them to life, just using his voice. You really can't tell that he is the one speaking and not the dolls! :D
I actually thought about doing some Nail Art inspired by them, but never had a concrete idea. Once Cuti-CLUE-les asked me to do it, I kinda had to think of something!

Well, here are my nails I did, based on those characters:
Please forgive me, but I won't list up all the polishes I used, they're just too many! If you wanna know a specific one, you can just ask ;)
For the ones, who don't know the characters: index finger = Walter, middle finger = Achmed, ring finger = Peanut and pinkie = Jalapeno on a Stick!
I did a simple gradient on my thumb and Jeff Dunham's initials :)

For reference, here are the puppets and Jeff Dunham!!!

I'm not a 100% pleased about how my nails turned out, but I think I did o.k. :)
They actually looked better on my "blueprint", lol =))  Wanna see? All right then:
I don't usually do this, but with more complicated Nail Art I like to do this first, just to get an idea on how to start and what to use :)

Actually Cuti-CLUE-les requested these, but she also did some Jeff Dunham nails! She will post it soon on her blog, so make sure to check it out too!! :D

Thanks for reading, hope you like it!

Floral French Design

Hello my lovely readers!
How are you all? I really miss blogging regularly, but only 2 more weeks left and I'm exam-free and I will have more time :P

So for today I asked my followers on facebook what design I could do, and Steffi from Me, Myself and Nail Polish said flowers. I wanted to try this french flower design from Copy That, Copy Cat for quite a while and I thought now would be the perfect time ;)  Since she did a tutorial on this one, it was quite easy recreating it, and here it is:
I am very very pleased with the outcome, although doing the flower was harder than it looked on her video :D That's why I did all nails on my left hand and only an accent finger on my right hand :P
It looks so pretty and feminine and I'm not used to wear french manicures, but I have to say I like this one :)
I used:
P2 - Perfectly (base)
O.P.I - Suzi & the Lifeguard (rosé)
Essence - Ahoy! (white)
Bourjois - 21 (red)
Safari (light green)
Catrice - Run Forest Run! (dark green)

Let me know what you think of my recreation :) Did you also try this design?

Thanks for reading! :-*

Today´s Swatch: Safari - Green

Hello, my lovelies ! :)
Since I´m not doing anything special with my nails, because they´re really short right now, I thought I show you some swatches I have done some while ago.
The one I´m showing you today, is one of the polishes I won in a giveaway from Paulina. :D It´s from Safari and since it doesn´t have a number or name, I just called it "Green" .. yeah I know, very resourceful :D
This is 2 coats without TC. It´s a beautiful green creme, it appllies very smooth and I love how it looks with my skintone. ;)
 With TC
With Flash. The first picture is the most color accurate.
I really like this color, it reminds me of spring   I searched for a green like this for a while now, but they were either to bright or to shimmery or to dark or whatever...this one is so...soft :P I don´t know how to describe it otherwise :)
I´ll try to show you all of the polishes I got in this giveaway , one by one. ;)
1 down, 8 to go ;)
Thanks for reading and have a nice evening ! :-*
