31 Day NA Challenge - Day 24: Inspired by a Book

Hello my lovelies!

Today's challenge was difficult only because of one thing - I absolutely love books and didn't knew which one to choose :D
But the first one that came to mind is a book by Frank Schätzing - Der Schwarm (engl. title: The Swarm), which is one of my absolute favorite ones! I can only recommend it, if you like science-fiction and thrillers!

The nail art is inspired by the book cover and here it is:

I used Essence Black is back as a base and painted the blue iris with Essence Just Rock it! and Sensique Lakier Sky Blue (and a few mixtures of those 2 colors!).

The hardest thing was to draw a perfect circle haha :D

Tell me, what is your favorite book/author or genre?

Thanks for reading and see ya soon! <3

31 Day NA Challenge - Day 14 (+15?): Flowers

Hello my lovelies!

I knew I would suck at this challenge xD It's hard posting everyday!

Yesterday the challenge was flowers and today it's delicate print. I was sure I had some stamping plates with a nice delicate lace print or something like that, but I was mistaken.. And since I don't have any other delicate stamping images I thought the flower mani would suit both these themes.

Flowers are delicate and beautiful, right? :D So here it is:

I used Sensique Lakier Sky Blue as a base and painted the flowers on with Essence Snow Alert and Essence Glamorous Life and a wide flat brush. (The same I used for the flowers -here-)

(with flash)

I really like how these came out because of the color combination - but flowers are not something you will see on my nails very often ;)

Thanks for reading and see ya later with my 365 Days Photo Challenge post!

Halloween NA Challenge: Spiderwebs

Hey, my beautiful readers!

I suck at this challenge ... I always mess up the dates for the challenges and I'm always late xD I'm sorry!
So, I already posted some spiderweb nail art last year and I didn't wanted to do the same thing again, so I had to come up with something else =) And that wasn't to hard since I always wanted to do a Spiderman inspired manicure! And here it is:

For the gradient I used: Sensique 124 and Sinful Colors - Neptune. The spiderwebs I did with Essence Silver Surfer.

You know what? I knew I would love this mani just as much as my last one (the bloody one), so I did the candy corn mani for tomorrow, removed it and painted this on...that way I can wear this til Saturday! Hell yeah! :D

Summer Challenge: Recreate your favorite manicure!

It's already the last challenge!! I don't even know where the time went...a whole month ago, we all started this challenge and now it's over! Well, to be honest, I'm glad I can start doing what I want again :D But it was a lot of fun! Thanks ladies for this awesome experience ;)

So the last challenge is to recreate one favorite manicure of someone else's! I had 3 absolute favorites in this challenge, although there were a loooot of amazing manicures! And I chose to recreate the one that was kinda the easiest  and the best - or I should rather say, most yummy - looking one :D It's this one right here, made by the very talented Chiro! No, honestly, go check her blog out, if you didn't already!!

I wanna eat my nails right now! It's the mani from the Ice-Cream challenge .. and she chose to do a mint one..my favorite!! And even with chocolate chips :D

In the last pic I didn't had the TC on... it looks just like real chocolate chips, doesn't it ?
But of course they're not! I painted some polish on a piece of paper and cut that in little pieces, sprinkled it on the nails and tadaa! ;)

Make sure to check out the last manicures these talented ladies did for this challenge!

And see ya tomorrow with a new challenge! Yes, you heard right...the Penguin Makeup Challenge!! More info about it --here--

Summer Challenge - Swimsuits

Hey!
Just a quick post for the Swimsuit-Challenge, because I have to prepare 5 more posts today :))

I thought about doing actual swimsuits on my nails and then I remembered my favorite bikini! Some of you may know my favorite polish color is blue and so is my favorite bikini! Perfect! :D So here is the mani:

I used:
Sesnique - 252, Rimmel - Midnight Blue, Catrice - Blue Cara Ciao, Art de lautrec - White and Essence - Viva la Green.... and some blue striping tape! :)

I don't know why, but the polish bubbled like crazy on my middle finger...weird...anywaaays, here is the bikini I  was inspired by:

Love those colors

Summer Challenge: Sea Shells

Hey there!
Quick post today :) I'm slowly catching up on the challenge! Btw, I won't do the "Favorite Beach Memory" Challenge, since I kinda already did on the "Fav Summer Memory" Challenge :P It was a beach and summer memory, sooo .....:))

Anyways, the last challenge was "Sea Shells" and here is my mani :

I know what you're thinking! "What is this?? A weird leopard or something? And what does this have to do with sea shells ??!"  Well, here I'm holding my inspiration for this abstract mani:

What a big ass sea shell, right? It's 10 times more beautiful in real life...those colors are just amazing! It was hard trying to recreate those colors, let me tell you :))

More sea shell designs after the jump!!
(Sorry for doing this break thingy, but the list with the links is getting sooooo long! )

Summer Challenge: Tropical Drinks

Hello there!
A bit late but here is my tropical drinks inspired mani!! :D My inspiration was this yummy looking Blue Mojito ;) I love cocktails with mint or cocos or fruity liqueurs, but this one just looks awesome!

I first started with a blue gradient, using Sensique - Lakier Sky Blue and Farmasi 85:

I also added some mint leaves... but they look weird =)) But from afar it looks okay ;)

Also check out these ladies!! (After the jump!)

Jeff Dunham Inspired Nails!

Jeff Dunham, who is this? Well, let me tell you! He is a pretty good and funny ventriloquist. This guy is just hilarious! And he has a lot of different puppets/characters. You may have heard of Achmed the dead terrorist? "SILENCE! I kill you !!" ... yep, that was him ;)
I think the most "popular" characters are Achmed, Walter, Peanut and Jalapeno on a Stick! Those are the best ones! It's amazing, how he can bring them to life, just using his voice. You really can't tell that he is the one speaking and not the dolls! :D
I actually thought about doing some Nail Art inspired by them, but never had a concrete idea. Once Cuti-CLUE-les asked me to do it, I kinda had to think of something!

Well, here are my nails I did, based on those characters:
Please forgive me, but I won't list up all the polishes I used, they're just too many! If you wanna know a specific one, you can just ask ;)
For the ones, who don't know the characters: index finger = Walter, middle finger = Achmed, ring finger = Peanut and pinkie = Jalapeno on a Stick!
I did a simple gradient on my thumb and Jeff Dunham's initials :)

For reference, here are the puppets and Jeff Dunham!!!

I'm not a 100% pleased about how my nails turned out, but I think I did o.k. :)
They actually looked better on my "blueprint", lol =))  Wanna see? All right then:
I don't usually do this, but with more complicated Nail Art I like to do this first, just to get an idea on how to start and what to use :)

Actually Cuti-CLUE-les requested these, but she also did some Jeff Dunham nails! She will post it soon on her blog, so make sure to check it out too!! :D

Thanks for reading, hope you like it!

French Poppies! :D

Hello there! :)
A friend of mine requested some nail design for a special occasion, and the design should include poppies, since those are her favorite flowers. :) I was happy to think of something and here is the result:
I used: O.P.I Nail Envy as a base (2 coats), P2 Miss French White Tip, Farmasi 45 (red), Sensique 139 (brown dots), Essence Check me out (green dots) and N.Y.C. Black Lace Creme (black dots).
You could add 1 or 2 little poppies along the big one, to have more red in the mani. :)
I'm not used to wear french manis, I get bored of them so easy, even if I add something to them, like I did here :)) But it was fun creating this and my friend already told me she loved them! Mission accomplished! :D
You like it? Do you want a tutorial for it? :P

Tomorrow I'll post the Water Decal Tutorial! See ya ;)

--EDIT--
I entered Kayla Shevonne's Nail Art Contest with this manicure! Yay :D Go check out all the other manicures as well and maybe enter yourself?!

Hunger Games Nail Art Series - District 7

WOW, that all I got to say about the film! It's awesome! Of course there were some parts left out, but that's always the case, when a film is based on a book. I can only recommend you guys: If you like/love the film, please read the books too! You won't be sorry :)
There was some cool Nail Art too and a lot of other things that were very inspiring ;) And I loved Effie Trinket! She has such great costumes!! :D

Oke, enough said! Today I got a manicure based on district 7, the wood/lumber district.
I got home late after the film and I just did something very simple, but it still represents the district very well, in my opinion :)
I used: Sensique - 139 as a base and O.P.I Fresh Frog of Bel Air for the tips. Looks like a tree, doesn't it? Well, it's upside down, but you get the idea :P
A bit off-topic: I wanted to thank you guys so, so much for every single comment you leave on my page, because you can't imagine how much they mean to me. Whenever I feel down or upset and I read just one of your comments, it just makes my day and I really need that sometimes. Today, for example. So, thank you and ...let's end this mushy talk now, ok? :)

Good night (or day) everyone! ;)

Christmas Challenge Day 21 - Reindeer / Rudolph

♫ Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer
had a very shiny nose,
and if you ever saw it
you would even say it glows

This song is stuck in my head ever since I started painting Rudolph on my nails :D  And here are the cute little fellas:
I used P2 - Flirt & Tease as a base, Sensique - 139, China Glaze - Ruby Pumps for the nose and some basic white and black polish for the details.
I got the idea from The Nailasaurus! The minute I saw them on her blog I knew I had to recreate them :)

Wanna see more cute little reindeer? Visit these blogs:
Have a good night! :-*

Christmas Challenge Day 4 - Snowman

Hello, my dear readers! :)
Sorry for posting so late, but I went on a short trip to Hungary and I came back later than expected :P
Today's theme is Snowman! I'd love to build one right now, but we have no snow here, because the weather decided to make it so warm like in spring outside :))
Does it snow where you live?
This design was made in a hurry, but I like it :D
I used: Sensique 252 as a base and Art de Lautrec - White, Essence - Get the Fever, Avon - Ruby Slippers and Essence - Fatal.
I'm excited to see the other cute snowmen, made by these ladies:
It's so fun watching everyone's designs and interpretations of the themes. :D
Well, have a good night now! See ya ;)

Christmas Challenge Day 1 - Snowfall

It's December the 1st, that means the Challenge begins! :D As the title says, the theme for today is Snowfall. I'll try to keep it short, cause today is the Great Union Day, the national holiday in Romania and I will spend it with some friends. :)
So here is the base for my manicure:
I created a gradient with: Essence - I'm a Marine Girl (dark blue), Sensique - Lakier Sky Blue and P2 - Divine. I used a white base (Essence - Ahoy!) to make the colors pop more ;) As much as I love gradients, they never turn out great on my nails. The colors didn't blend that well together, and the cleaning up afterwards was a mess, but oh well, it still looks pretty. :) I tried to picture the dark night sky, the fog and the snow-covered ground. All the colors I used are shimmers and it looks beautiful in real life, but it doesn't show on the pictures... maybe a little bit on the second picture? :P
And for the falling snow I just used the same white, that I used as a base and added random sized dots all over the nails.
It does look like snow, doesn't it ? :D
I can't wait to see all the other designs of these lovely ladies that joined the Challenge:
Kaki, Steffi, Salpi, Shannara, Kirshten and of course paint that nail, who started all this :D
(These are just the ones I know, I'm sure there are a lot of other bloggers that joined :P)
So much for "keeping it short" =)))
See ya tomorrow with another frosty manicure ;)

Today's Swatch: Sensique 137

Hey everybody!
Today I´m showing you another polish from the giveaway: Sensique 137. I really don´t know what color this is :))) Plum? Burgundy? I have no idea xD Please tell me! :D Either way, it´s a beautiful one ;) The application was really great, that´s what I love about this Sensique polishes. I used 2 coats, no TC and it´s so glossy! But see for yourself:
The color is the most accurate on the second picture :) After a few hours of wearing this, I thought I spice it up a bit with some glitter! And I got the perfect candidate for it: Essence - Time for Romance. It´s basically the same color, but with some awesome glitter :) Here´s a bottle shot, to show you the great glitter this cute little bottle contains (click to enlarge)
I applied 1 coat over the old manicure and here is the result:
I  this combination! It sparkles so much more in real life :)
Hope you liked today´s swatch ;)
Thanks for reading and have a good night my lovelies! :-*
