31 Day NA Challenge - Day 2: Orange Nails

Hello again! :D

For the second day in this challenge I had to do orange nails! I did that, but I made it a little bit more interesting than just plain orange nails :P

After 3 thin coats of China Glaze Riveting, I applied 1 coat of HAPM Limit Orange Crackle and achieved this look:

I really like how the orange shimmer peaks through the matte crackle :)

That's it for today!

Thanks for reading and see ya tomorrow <3

Hunger Games Nail Art Series - Mockingjay

Hello and Happy Hunger Games! :D
I bet the premiere in the USA is now over, I'm not sure with the time difference and all :P
I'm so jealous of you guys, who have seen the movie already!!!! I want it too!
At least I'll show you what I would have worn on my nails, if I went to the movie last night! :)
Every HG-Fan knows the Mockingjay pin Katniss is wearing as part of her outfit, but just for the ones who don't know, here it is:
It's awesome! I actually want a real Mockingjay pin, to wear it on my clothes..or maybe a necklace? :D
Anyways, it took me forever to do this one on my nails, because it is a lot harder than the geometrical Capitol eagle, which has just straight lines :P The next problem was, that I don't own a good gold polish, so I just went with yellow. Ok, I'll stop talking now, here is my mani:
The other fingers are a bit hard to explain =)) First I'll tell you what I used: Essence - Grand-Plié in Black, Essence - Sundancer for the Mockingajy, Milani 3D Holo - 3D for the arrow, 1 coat of China Glaze - Ruby Pumps over Essence - GP in Black and finally 1 coat of Flormar Crackle in yellow.
"It's not a regular crackle effect!" - you might say, and it's right. I accidently bumped one of my fingers with the crackle against the table (again^^) and the red glitter smeared all over the yellow. I liked it so much that I touched the crackle on purpose with my fingers, til it looked like in the pics. I added 1 or 2 drops of Ruby Pumps in one or 2 spots and tadaa! It looks like an abstract fire :D Or more like something IS on fire.
Well, it does say in the book: "Katniss, the girl on fire!" ;)
And all of this, because I was to lazy to do actual flames at 3 am at night :P

Hope you like it! Later today, I'll post another district manicure!
See ya ;)

Hunger Games Nail Art Series - District 12

Hello, my lovelies!
The request for today was a district manicure or a design inspired by Rue or a mutt.
Well, I really have no idea what I could paint, to represent Rue and I'm still thinking about how to do the mutts. :P Any ideas out there? I'd appreciate it!
So for the first district inspired mani, I chose to represent District 12 :)
Since Cinna, Katniss' stylist, came up with the idea to present her as "the girl on fire" I wanted to do a fire design. But after yesterday's mani I didn't had the patience to do something to difficult and this one is also easier to do for someone, who wants to wear a manicure for the Hunger games, right? :)
It kinda looks like fire ...or at least like coals on fire :D I used: Essence - Grand-Plié in Black (Ballerina LE), Flormar Crackle G05, P2 Pearl Crackle - Red Volcano and a big fat coat of TC :D
Now let me tell you a secret about layering crackles: Do a coat of TC in between the 2 crackles, so that they can crackle differently, otherwise they will crackle the same way and the first color won't show ... or it all looks like a huge mess. Know what I mean? :D

Aaand only 3 days left ! Omg I can't wait anymore!!! :D
See ya tomorrow! ;)

Nail Art Monday Nr.11 - Fierce Accent

Heeey!
I took a little pause from blogging, cause I had a lot of going an with uni and stuff (I had 3 tests only last week) but now it's going to be more relaxed, so I can post regularly again :) Starting Thursday I will post a Christmas Nail Art everyday! That will be fun :D
So today I was swatching some colors, and one of them was Avon - Violetta Sparkle. This is a dark purple polish with fine golden glitter in it. The application was tricky at first, I had to use 3 coats on the first nail, cause I couldn't apply it evenly. As I was moving on to the other nails I got the hang of it and I had to use only 2 coats. So application is fine, if you're careful. When I ordered this polish I thought it would be a lighter purple with silvery glitter, judging by the photo in the catalog. So I was a little bit disappointed, but the polish is still pretty :)
It was really hard to capture the real color and the glitter. If you enlarge the photos you can get an idea of how it looks.
 With flash.
The purple is a little lighter in real life.
I thought about pimping it a bit, so I added P2 Crackle TC - Golden Rush. I realized something funny today ... I always start painting my ring finger and then go on and paint the other ones. :))) So this accent nail happened by accident and since today's theme at PAA was "Fierce Accent Nail" ...well, perfect! :D
I know a reader requested the swatch of this particular polish, so I hope she's happy with it! =)
Do you have any funny habits of painting your nails ?
Have a good night!

Inspired by the Music Video - Rain over me -

Hello my dear readers!
How was your weekend? :) I don´t even know where the time went :P I didn´t even manage to do a tutorial for you :( Next Saturday I´ll do one again, I promise! Well, let´s move on to the nails! While I was doing some stuff around the house, I put my TV on UTV (a romanian music video channel) to listen to some music. The minute I heard "Rain over me" by Pitbull and Marc Anthony, I ran to the TV to turn up the volume :D I love that song and the music video is not that bad either ;) Here is a link to the youtube-clip! One of the girls had some really cool nails, that I had to try immediately. I took a screen shot, but the quality isn´t that great:
Click to enlarge to see the nails better ;)
So obviously she wears some blue crackle polish :P As a base she has neon pink on all of her nails, except the middle finger, which has a neon green base. I would never have thought of this color combination , but I like it very much !
So, here are my inspired nails:
I used: Moyra - 64 1B1 (neon pink), Flormar - 50 (green) and Flormar - G01 (blue crackle). The blue crackle has a matte finish, just like every other crackle I tried so far.
After putting on some TC. See the pretty shimmer in the blue ? :)
I like the end-result very, very much! What do you think ? :)
Good night and sweet dreams! See ya :-*

I´m finally back :)

Hello my dear readers!
I know I promised to post more regularly, once I´m done with my exam, but I didn´t know how much paperwork and walking from one bureau to another is involved after the exam :P The point is: I passed, so I´m a med student now! Yeey :D
I will show you what I wore all week on my nails, since I didn´t have time for painting them everyday :P Tomorrow I´ll show you the Nail Art Monday Mani I did and from now one I will post more regularly, I swear :D
So here it is, just something simple: 2coats of  P2 - Flirt& Tease (040)  + P2 Crackling TC in black:
This is the only nude polish I really love, and it stays on for 5 days without chipping and tip wear! That´s it, see ya tomorrow and have a good night! :)

New Necklace - New Mani :)

Hello ladies (and boys) :D
How are you all today? Well, I went shopping today, bought me some stuff and of course some nail polish ;) I will show you that later. I  bought a beautiful necklace in gold/brown/beige from Meli Melo, do you know that store? It has beautiful jewelry ! What I was trying to say: this necklace inspired me to a mani :D So the colors are beige, brown and gold and I added black crackling polish to it.
Sooo, I used Catrice - My Café Au Lait At Nôtre-Dame (beige stripes), P2 - Soulful (brown ones) and Catrice - In the Bronx (golden ones). The black crackling TC is also from P2. Swatch is here :) I´m sorry I forgot to take a picture completely without crackling TC :) The minute I realized I forgot, I took a picture, but I already had a nail done :P
The finish of this crackling TC is matte, and I kinda like it ... the contrast between shinny gold and the matte black is cool :D And here is my inspiration :
I really like gold and brown shades on my nails, what about you ? :)
As promised, here is a pic of the polishes I got:
I never heard of this brand "Farmasi" but I love the colors so far ;) Do you know that brand? If so, do you like it ?
Thanks for reading and have a good night :-*

Different crackling top coat swatches :)

This will be a huge post about crackling top coats with lots of pictures, just so you know ;)
So first I wanna show you the P2 Crackling Top Coat in 020-Silver Blast, which is a beautiful silver polish with lots of shimmer in it. It dries kind of matte (I´m sorry, I forgot to take a pic of that too), but once you put a top coat on, you can see all of the pretty shimmer in it ! I made the pics extra large for you, so you can see ;)
This pics with the silver top coat were taken before my camera broke, so they`re pretty good ;)
I did 2 coats of Catrice - C03 Lavender Breeze and 1 coat of silver blast; on the right side I did 2 coats of P2 - Dramatic Black and again 1 coat of silver blast. I love how this crackle polish forms cracks...it´s just perfect! :)  And the prize of 1,75 € makes it even better ! The pic above is taken in sunlight, the other one in the shadow.
The second Crackling TC is also from P2 and it´s called Golden rush (030). It´s like the silver one ..but in gold :P Pretty shimmer, easy to apply and a matte finish. The only thing I don´t like about it, is that it´s a little bit sheer. So you have to apply 1 thick coat or you will see the base colour through it. I did 1 coat over Catrice-Lavender Breeze, P2-Dramatic Black and Essence-Just Rock it . I just love the combination of dark blue and gold...but it didn´t turn out as I wanted..well, still pretty :P
The next one is from Essence: Crack me! White. It´s a white top coat (what a surprise :D) without any shimmer and it also dries matte. The big diffrence between this one and the P2 Crackling TC is the way it cracks. I don´t know how to describe it, so let the pics speak for themselves :P
It´s 1 coat each over P2-Dramatic Black and Catrice-The Pinker The Better. The pic above is without top coat. See the matte finish? The other one is with top coat :) I really don´t know if I like this kind of cracks..hm...do you ? :P
And finally, the last one :) This one you have already seen on another post of mine, the P2 Crackling TC Black Explosion. So it´s a black TC without shimmer, a matte finish, and I think it´s the easiest to apply..don´t ask me why :) I did 1 coat each over Catrice-Lavender Breeze and Catrice-The Pinker The Better.
First pic is with top coat. On the pink polish I did a thin layer of crackling TC and on the white one a thicker one, so you can see the difference between the cracks. I like the one with the thin layer on it (the pink one) better :) The second pic is an old mani I did, without any top coat, that´s why it is matte.
And the last one is the pic from the other post I mentioned, again without TC. :)

We made it! The post is over! I know it was a bit to much, but I wanted to swatch all crackling TC´s at once ;) So forgive me, I just can´t be brief :D

Have a nice Sunday evening! :-*

P2 Crackling Top Coat

Hello my dear readers !
Like I said yesterday, I added something to my mani, so it wouldn´t be that boring :) I was a bit lazy today, so it´s nothing special, but still...it looks good :D
Here is the mani as promised ;)
I used 1 coat of P2 Crackling Top Coat - 010 Black Explosion. You have to apply the polish quickly, cause it dries really fast! But the result is worth the work ;)  As you can see it dries matte. First I was going to add a top coat to make it shiny, but I kinda like the contrast between matte and the golden shimmer :) The colour is more accurate in the second picture.
[EDIT]
I just had to try a top coat, to see how it would look shiny......and it´s good I did! I love it ! :D

Btw, my stash list is finally finished! I hope I can add more and more swatches as soon as possible ;)
Until next post, have a good night and thanks for reading :)
