Katniss Everdeen Braid

Hello, my lovelies!
I thought I'd do a little break from the Nail Art Series, and show you one of my new favorite looks: the Katniss Everdeen braid! :D
So, yea, it's still Hunger Games related, but I like it so much, I had to share! :)
There are a ton of videos on youtube on how to achieve this look, that's why I didn't do a step-by-step tutorial or something :P Just search for "Katniss Everdeen Braid" and you should find what you're looking for ;)
First a picture of the "start" of the braid at the top of my head:
And a complete picture:
I really like how my 2 hair colors mix up in the braid :D

Have you tried this style or are you going to? If so, pleeeeease take a picture and send it to my email address, I would love to see all the different braids!! Or post it on my facebook page ;)

Have a great weekend! And I hope I'll get some pics ;)

  5. I'd wear my hair like this all the time instead of in a bun; but I can not french braid to save my life haha.

    1. Thank you! It comes in handy for days, when you don't know what to do with your hair :)

  7. It looks great but you have it wrong. Your hair is a French braid. Katniss' hair was a Dutch braid. You do it the same as a French braid, only you work the strands from behind each other instead of bringing them to the front, if that makes sense :)

    1. I know! :D I tried it and failed, so I thought I do baby steps and try it with a regular french braid. But since I'll do this look more often now, maybe I will manage to do the Dutch braid sometime ;)

  8. I love it. I'll have to try and do this! (I think I'm a dork because I could have sworn your hair was dark on top and red underneath ... Did you change it or am I completely bonkers?)

  9. I can't do this, my hair is waaay too short. I'm growing it out atm. Can't wait! And I will try this for sure, once my hair is long again =)

  12. This isn't the correct braid, the braid she has is an inside out braid so the braid is sticking out instead of going in like a french braid. Instead of going over each other, they go under each other.

    1. Yes, I know! As I said it before to another reader, I tried and failed so I posted this one, because it still looks like hers, going to the side and all... :)
