Jeff Dunham, who is this? Well, let me tell you! He is a pretty good and funny ventriloquist. This guy is just hilarious! And he has a lot of different puppets/characters. You may have heard of Achmed the dead terrorist? "SILENCE! I kill you !!" ... yep, that was him ;)
I think the most "popular" characters are Achmed, Walter, Peanut and Jalapeno on a Stick! Those are the best ones! It's amazing, how he can bring them to life, just using his voice. You really can't tell that he is the one speaking and not the dolls! :D
I actually thought about doing some Nail Art inspired by them, but never had a concrete idea. Once Cuti-CLUE-les asked me to do it, I kinda had to think of something!
Well, here are my nails I did, based on those characters:
Please forgive me, but I won't list up all the polishes I used, they're just too many! If you wanna know a specific one, you can just ask ;)
For the ones, who don't know the characters: index finger = Walter, middle finger = Achmed, ring finger = Peanut and pinkie = Jalapeno on a Stick!
I did a simple gradient on my thumb and Jeff Dunham's initials :)
For reference, here are the puppets and Jeff Dunham!!!
I'm not a 100% pleased about how my nails turned out, but I think I did o.k. :)
They actually looked better on my "blueprint", lol =)) Wanna see? All right then:
I don't usually do this, but with more complicated Nail Art I like to do this first, just to get an idea on how to start and what to use :)
Actually Cuti-CLUE-les requested these, but she also did some Jeff Dunham nails! She will post it soon on her blog, so make sure to check it out too!! :D
Thanks for reading, hope you like it!
AAWWWWHHH! We picked the same ones! Go us :P I included melvin the super hero though :)
ReplyDeleteI think you did a great job!!
(I did a little blueprint too but I painted all over it trying out colours haha)
I love your peanut :D
Oh hard question: Who is your favourite character? ;)
Nope, I think the four she picked are the best of the motley group Jeff has created. I just love his shows. He is sooooo gooood at what he does. I have seen him drink water and have a three conversations ... with himself. Actually three of his characters. He is amazing, always wanted to do what he does now, started as a child.
DeleteGo Jeff Go, you make us laugh our heads off.
Or should I say. Jeff FA FA !!!!
walter
DeletePeanut and Bubba J.....
DeleteThat is without a doubt the coolest. You nailed it with art. hehe. and yes Jeff is one very talented dude
DeleteAAAW! How cool is that? :D Can't wait to see Melvin! :D
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, it was hard to their expressions, but it was a lot of fun :)
That's a hard question indeed! Well, I can't quite decide between Peanut and Achmed, but I think I like Peanut a lil bit more :D And you ??
hmm I would have to go for Achmed :P "His" jokes are just a bit more shocking:P Peanut is definitely the cutest! Awh I messed up melvins nose but he came out ok.
DeleteAchmed is great!! :D You'll post your nails tomorrow right? I can't wait :D
Deletei noticed you said no your pinky had Jalapeño on a Stick on it.

ReplyDeletehttp://maligreen.blogspot.co.uk
these are so awesome!! He is such a great ventriloquist. My husband's fav character is Peanut, who coincidentally drives me nuts! I love your sketches. That must be why you're so good at nail art - you're good at drawing in the first place. I've decided I need to draw more to better my nail art skillz - I figure it'll help with proportions and such.
ReplyDeleteJeff is awesome! :D And thank you so much! I can't be bad to draw more on paper, it's a good exercise! ;)
DeleteVery well painted - super fun too :)
ReplyDeleteWow...!! *____*

ReplyDeleteThank you! Achmed is so funny :D
DeleteWOW That is way too complicated for me! I can't believe you actually draw them out and plan! That is really awesome! I'm just way too lazy and can't see being this detailed. But I think it's so cool that your art looks so like the actual puppets! I had no idea who this guy was but now I do! Very nice job!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much!! I won't do something that detailed anytime soon :D It was fun but a lot of work =)) I'm so glad I "introduced" you to him, he is awesome! :D

ReplyDeleteAwesome I love Jeff dunham and I think its a toss up between Walter and achmed. I do my own nails and get artsy with them but I must say I could never do anything that intricate
ReplyDeleteAchmed on the middle finger seems appropriate.
ReplyDeleteThey look amazing! Love them! Do you paint them while on your fingers or are they artificial nails? (wondering if this question will appear stupid ;( Very nice though regardless. You truly are talented!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much!! No, those are my nails and I painted them directly on my nails :D It's not a stupid question!! ;)

ReplyDeleteHave either of you talented ladies thought of designing artificial nails with your designs for those of us who REALLY like your Jeff Dunham inspired nail art, but can't draw to save our lives??--lol
ReplyDeleteYes, I'm thinking about it and I hope I get my supplies soon and then I can start making some ;)
DeleteCLEVER! LOVE IT!
ReplyDeleteJeff Dunham is my favorite comedian, I find him to be the best ventriloquist ever. And Peanut's my favorite character.
You're quite an artist.
Smart and talented! You go girl!! My daughter is a bio-psych major for pre-med so I know how difficult the classes are. Not to mention the incredibly long and competitive road it takes to get there. Best wishes.
