Valentine's Day Challenge - Glitter Hearts

Hello again! :)

Today is already the third challenge out of 6! How time flies :D
I wanted to do some crazy make-up, I already had 1-2 ideas, but I'm still so sick...my nose is red and my skin is so dry from all the tissues I had to use and I don't feel like doing make-up at all ^^

But I will do one for the next challenge, I promise ;)

For today I have some cute little glitter hearts for you:

I used Essence Black is Back as a base and painted the hearts on with Art de Lautrec 18 first, because the red glitter polish I wanted to use is pretty sheer! Finally I added Avon Ruby Slippers on top of the red and finished it with one coat of TC.

It's simple and with some little fantasy you can see the hearts! :D Looking at the nails now I realize they could have been more sparkly and glittery!

Hope you still like them :)

Thanks for reading my lovelies and see ya soon! <3

31 Day NA Challenge - Day 17: Glitter

Hello my lovelies!

I didn't post yesterday because I still have such a bad headache and it won't go away :(

I will post both challenges today though, so don't worry ;)
First one is glitter, which was yesterday's challenge:

I used Flormar 436 on all fingers except the ring finger and topped it off with Sally Hansen Twinkle, Twinkle. On the ring finger I used Essence Ultimate Pink and added Essence Twins Topper 04 Carrie.

I had something else in mind, but it didn't work out so I did this instead :)

Hope you like it! Thanks for reading and see you in a bit with the second post!

31 Day NA Challenge - Day 11+12: Dots & Stripes

Hello my lovelies!

Yes I did it again ... I cheated! But I promise it won't happen anymore (at least not that much :D )

I combined challenge 11 and 12 and created a design with both dots and stripes :)

I used Artdeco 316 as a base, a really nice dark aubergine shade, and added dots with Catrice On Top of the Alpes and stripes with Essence Hello Holo.

I really like how it came out although it wasn't planned like this .. at all! I changed the design while I was painting it and that's the result :P

Hope you like it and thanks for reading! <3

31 Day NA Challenge - Day 9 + 10: Gradient Rainbow Nails

Hello my sweet readers!

I told my followers on facebook yesterday that I'm going to cheat a little with the challenge and combine Day 9 and 10 and do a rainbow gradient! :D

Phew, let me tell you that was some work... but 16 polishes and a lot of sponging later, here it is:

I basically used the same polishes I once used for my first rainbow mani -here- , but I decided to top it all with Essence Hello Holo!

I wasn't happy at all how they turned out.. the gradient is not the best I ever did, but with the glitter on top it looks gorgeous and now I really love it :)

Thanks for reading!

See ya tomorrow with the next challenge ;)

31 Day NA Challenge - Day 2: Orange Nails

Hello again! :D

For the second day in this challenge I had to do orange nails! I did that, but I made it a little bit more interesting than just plain orange nails :P

After 3 thin coats of China Glaze Riveting, I applied 1 coat of HAPM Limit Orange Crackle and achieved this look:

I really like how the orange shimmer peaks through the matte crackle :)

That's it for today!

Thanks for reading and see ya tomorrow <3

*Late* Nail Art Monday - Tape accent nail

Hello my dear readers!

*EDIT: I suck as a blogger ... I wrote that post yesterday and forgot to post it ... I'm sorry for the delay, again^^ *

Today I have some simple nail art for you - an accent nail with rhinestones and geometric design, that I achieved by using tape :)

The base for this mani is P2's No Matter from the "Winter ... who cares?!" LE I showed you yesterday!

For the accent nail I used Essence - Snow Alert (from the Mountain Calling LE) and 3 rhinestones. I topped it all off with a thick coat of TC.

My plan was to do all nails like that, but then I thought It may be a little bit too much and I also didn't wanna cover up that gorgeous blue ;)

How do you like it? Let me know!

Thanks for reading :*

Sunday Swatches: P2 - Winter ... who cares?! Limited Edition Polishes

 Hello my lovelies :)

Today I have some absolutely gorgeous polishes for you! When I saw them in the store, the first thing I noticed was that cute bottle design that reminded me of christmas tree decorations :D
And then I saw all the glitter *-* It was like nail polish heaven in that moment! So I just had to buy them all ... you understand me right? :D

But look for yourself:

These are the 6 polishes from P2's new limited edition collection "Winter ... who cares?!" - the name is pretty funny as well, like "who cares? I'm gonna rock some cool polish even in the winter! Hell yeah!" Just my motto ;)

So let's take a closer look at each one:

010 - I don't care!

This is a pinkish red jelly with small and big white glitter in it. Even after 3 coats it is not fully opaque, but the application is flawless and easy. All the polishes have a slightly thicker consistency, so it may be good to use them over another more opaque polish instead of applying 3 to 4 coats.

020 - Never mind!

This one is a beautiful purple jelly with small and big white glitter in it. This one is pretty much opaque after 3 coats and the application was just as flawless as the other ones.
This is one of my favorites! :)

030 - Even now!

This is a white jelly with the same glitter in it as the other ones - and the most beautiful thing about this polish is the fact that it looks like snow! I don't know why but the white glitter in the white jelly base just remind me of winter and snow, so it is perfect for the next months!
I already have a nail art in mind with it ;)
Good application just like all the others, but this one isn't really opaque after 3 coats either - but that's perfectly normal for jellies :)

040 - Play up!

This is a gorgeous bright pink jelly with big and small white glitter in it. Application is flawless, but opacity is not fully there after 3 coats.
I don't wear pink very often but this one looks so pretty on the nails and kinda reminds me of candy - I don't know why :P

050 - For that reason!

This one is a light grey jelly with white glitter in it, application is just as good as the other ones and it's almost opaque after 3 coats.
I have to be honest, I took this polish just to have all 6 of them, so it is not one of my favorites but it still is pretty nice :)

060 - No matter!

A beautiful blue jelly with white glitter in it, flawless application and almost full opacity after 3 coats.
It is my absolute FAVORITE of this collection, I mean look at it - it reminds me of a night sky with thousands of stars ...absolutely gorgeous :)

I have to say I am in love with this collection! There are so many things you could do with these polishes and I love the fact that they are jellies! They are very glossy and paired with the glitter it gives them such a deep look, that I just adore :)

One bottle of polish costs 2,25€ here in Germany and contains 15ml of product.

Tell me, which one is your favorite?

Thanks for reading and see ya next time :)

I'm back with a lot of glitter!

Hello, my dear readers!

I've missed you all so much! I didn't even realize it has been more than 2 months since I last blogged. I kinda forgot how to write in English and how to take pictures of my nails as well :D I'm really sorry for my long absence and I wanna thank the people who sent me concerned emails, you're so sweet! Thank you!
Nothing bad happened, I just didn't had the time for my blog since I started the new semester (with a completely new field of study :D).

Enough of that though, I wanna show you what I wore for New Years Eve :) Last Year I had some glittery black & grey nails (here is the post about them) and this year I did something similar: it's also glittery and black!

I used only Essence polishes for this one: Galactic Black, Icy Princess and Hello Holo.

It sparkled so beautiful, that's why I had it on for about 5 days ;)

Now tell me, what did you wear on your nails for New Years Eve?!
And is there anything I've missed, that I absolutely have to know about? :D

Thanks for sticking with me and my blog, you're the best! *big hug*

Halloween NA Challenge - Pumpkin

Maybe you've seen this challenge on other blogs or on my facebook page, I'm talking about the
Halloween Nail Art Challenge!

Didn't Isabella just do an awesome job on this banner?? :D
For the whole month of October we will do different Halloween designs and the best thing about it? It's just 2-3 designs a week! Everyone can keep up with that :) It's not too late to join! Just head over to Kaki, she has the code for the Inlinkz app and then you are ready to go!

First challenge is: Pumpkins!

I used: Catrice - Man,Go Tango, S-he - 452, Essence - Back to Black and Harm Limit - Crackle 18.
This mani didn't turned out like I hoped. I'm not very happy with it, but I promise to do a better job with the other challenges :P

I took this picture to show you how orange that crackle looks in the bottle... sadly, it didn't transfer to the nail at all! I used 2 coats and it still was very sheer :( To cover it up, I used a coat of orange glitter ...and that made it worse =))

Check out the other ladies as well! ;)

Models Own Mirrorball Collection Swatches !

Hello, my lovelies!

Today I have an awesome post for you! I wanna show you the swatches of the whole Mirrorball Collection by Models Own!
When I first saw the promo pics a few weeks back I just knew these babies had to be mine! :D
I ordered them on the same day they appeared on the website and only one week later they arrived at their new home!  I saw a lot of pictures and I knew they were gorgeous, but when I opened the package I was just speachless!

You can't imagine how sparkly, colorful and pretty they are in real life! And I have to include a bottle shot, because they look so cool!

They're gorgeous, right? :)

The formula is pretty much the same on all of them, only the glitter colors are different!
Each one has 4 different sized & shaped glitter in a clear base. You have every kind of glitter you can imagine in there: from small round glitter to square, to big chunky holo glitter (oh yes! they are a bit holo!!).

The application was very good with all of them and I especially loved that you get a good amount of glitter on the nail with only 1 coat! The only thing I don't like about Models Own polishes is the smell, but oh well..nobody/nothing is perfect :P
For the swatches I used 1 coat of glitter over a black nail polish + TC(the one included in the set) and for the "nude" swatches I applied :
1 coat on the index finger - 2 coats on the middle finger - 3 coats on the ring finger - 4 coats on the pinkie and no TC!

So let's finally see some pictures! (WARNING! Picture Spam!)

Boogie Nights

Boogie Nights has blue, purple and 2 shades of pink glitter in it. As you can see, 2 coats (middle finger) is the perfect amount to get some really sparkly nails!

Dancing Queen

One of my absolute favorites from this collection! It has gold, green, turquoise and blue glitter in it - such an awesome combination! 2 coats are enough to get some awesome sparkle on your nails, but as you can see 1 coat over black is more than enough too! ;)

Hot Stuff!

This one has gold, pink, red and peachy glitter in it and is so pretty and girly!

Disco Inferno

Did I mention I love the names of these polishes? ;) This beauty has gold, green and orange glitter in it and just like all the other ones, the sparkle is freaking amazing!

Freak Out!

Last but not least, my absolute favorite from this whole collection, although they're all beautiful! This one has blue, turquoise and purple glitter in it - my favorite color combination!

Isn't this collection one of the most amazing ones out there? I took so many pictures, because it's just too pretty! :)

You can get the whole collection in a box set (with a free 3 in 1 top coat!) on http://www.modelsownit.com/ for 20£  (ca. 32$ or 24€), but if you want just one or 2, each of the polish costs 5£ (ca. 8$ or 6€) and they do ship internationally! ;)

In my opinion these polishes are totally worth it and anyone who loves glitter, should own them! ;)

What a long post! But I hope you liked it and let me know which polish is your favorite from the Mirrorball collection! =)

China Glaze Riveting/Electrify Gradient

Hey there! :)

This will be a short post, but I wanted to show you what I had on my nails for 3 days :) I got some great polishes in a blog sale (more about that in my next post!) and one of them was China Glaze - Riveting. Since I think China Glaze made Riveting and Electrify for each other, I had to combine them immediately on my nails! ;)

(Excuse the red stain on my skin! I dyed my moms hair :P)
Do you love it as much as I do???

My next post (the August haul :D) will be scheduled for tomorrow morning ;)
Have a good night, my lovelies! x

Summer Challenge: Favorite Summer Color

Hey my beautiful people!

Today's theme in the Summer Challenge is:
Favorite Summer Color!
I love colors in general and in the summer I love to wear turquoise, hot pink, coral etc. But my favorite summer color is turquoise, because it just reminds me of the beach ;) And everything glittery of course! So I combined these two and this is the result:

I used 2 coats of Essence Sun Club - Splash Refresh and topped it with 1 coat of Essence - Glorious Aquarius.
Splash Refresh isn't a really bright turquoise, it's rather a soft shade but I like it very much! Here it is on it's own:

I swatched this one before, but when I looked at the post I started laughing =)) My nails looked so awful! And the lightning and everything was so bad compared to now :P Just in case you wanna take a look too, here is the post I'm talking about.

Love this glitter so much! And it sparkles so beautiful in the sun ;)

Check these ladies out, to see what their favorite summer colors are!

Summer Challenge: Bees

Omg, I'm soooo behind! I am so sorry, but life was a bit hectic these days :) Anyways, I will catch up, I promise!
So first theme is/was: BEES !
And here is my take on it, inspired by a manicure I once saw on Emily's Nail Files ... but I don't know the exact post, sorry!

First let's see what I used:
Essence - The World's Coolest (base color), Essence Show your Feet - In the Jungle, O.P.I. - Fresh Frog of Bel Air, Essence - Sundancer, black and white nail art tip painter from Flormar + Fimo flowers.

Those flowers look so freaking cute! :D But that bee is kinda fat, oops soory! I mean round :D

I included the last pic to show you how the flowers look on the nail. I didn't add a TC, because I liked how they looked without ;)
Check out the other ladies, who are participating, as well ;)
See ya tomorrow with the next challenge!

Holo Glitter Tips

Goooood Morning! :)

I'm back! Yay :D I have sooooooo much catching up to do! And I have a lot of posts to do, that I promised you guys, so I'll try my best ;) I have to confess that I had almost only naked nails the past few weeks, that's why I chose something easy and pretty to get back into polishing my nails :P

I applied a silver polish (Flormar 436) like a french tip and added 2 coats of Essence Hello Holo over it like a gradient. Then I finished it up with a TC and that's it! Quick and easy to do :)

Sunlight pictures!! :D And a blurry one, to show you the holo awesomeness of Essence Hello Holo.

It looks a 1000 times prettier in real life! It kinda reminds me of wedding nails =))

So what's new in the blogging world? :) Let me know!

Have a great Sunday, my lovelies! :*
