Racing Stripes

 Good morning everybody!
This post will be the last one with pictures taken by my phone :D Just so you know ;)
I did this mani a week ago and took some pictures outside in the snow again, to change up the scenery a bit.
You may think now "there is something different about her nails.." and that's true :P I filed my nails in a square shape! Well, almost square. I wanted to try this for so long, because I always see so beautiful square shaped nails on so many blogs, but now I know it's not meant to be for me. They don't suit me :))
Back to the polish: This is 2 coats Rimmel London - 239 Your Majesty and it's a gorgeous silver foil polish, just how I like it. :) Excuse the redness of my skin in this pictures but it was freezing outside! I couldn't feel my hands for 20 minutes after this pics :D

I wanted to add something to it, but I had no idea what. I was starring at my computer and my desktop wallpaper inspired me :D
So here is the beautiful inspiration:

Yep, my favorite car ;) And I tried to recreate the racing stripes on my nails:
I used tape and China Glaze Frostbite for the stripes. The picture is not the best, but you get the idea ;)

So ho do you like my nails with this shape? I honestly am glad to be back to my round shape :D
Have a great Sunday! :-*

EDIT: Btw, do you like that I made the pictures bigger, or should I do them like before? Let me know!

  1. Well I think the square-ish nails were good on your hands! My boyfriend is absolutely in love with this car, too... I'm more of a Audi fangirl =)

And, yes, bigger pictures are great!

    Much love,
    Sophie

  2. I like the bigger pictures, especially for detailed nail art. I really like this manicure too, the colours work well together. As for your nail shape, I prefer your usual style but I don't think this one looks bad. I've never really given much thought to my nail shape but maybe I need to!
PS Love the sacrifices you make for your art, not being able to feel your hands for 20mins after taking these pics in the snow lol

  8. That ring is killer! And I love the racing stripes - totally cool. I like your nails this way, but I prefer rounded. Hardly anyone has rounded nails, so that makes yours special and unique to look at! I've tried countless times to round my nails and they end up looking awful! Square is just easier for me - I'm lazy. =)

    1. Thanks! :D I adore big rings! ;) I prefer them rounded too and also: thank you so much!! There so easy for me to file, it took me double the time to do them square :D So I'm guess I have them rounded because I'm lazy too =)))

  12. Are you kidding me? Your nails look fantastic with the square shape! But...I am biased as a fan of square nails. Both my index fingers are rounded right now due to breaks and I think they look hideous on me. But that's just my preference. Your usual nails are lovely as well, though.
